A full-featured collection management program for Windows. Supports foreign language fonts and includes an on-screen keyboard. Switch between multiple collections, auto-number entries, print reports, generate flip inserts and much more.
Note that the pre-release version does not include documentation or on-line help. Pre-release software is not necessarily bug free.

Is this the same version as version 0.1.0.21 (file date 10.17.01)?
I just want to make sure I'm not missing something new. I love Ancient Assistant. Since the Moneta folks apparently don't care about Greek collectors, I've been relying upon Ancient Assistant for my cataloging needs.
Warm regards,
Jeff
AncientAssistant will never compete with Moneta -- that's a tremendous program that every specialist ought to own. I just thought there was room for an entry level application to provide collectors with a no cost way to document their collections. I just never intended for the pre-release version to be "pre" for so long!

Although Moneta does not list Greek rulers .... it does support the full range of Greek letter (at least I think so, not a Greek collector) ... but it does have support for Provincial Romans and I am fairly sure that your Greek letters are covered?
Additionally you can add rulers to the database, your can add mints/cities and so forth. If it has been a little while since you looked at it... might be worth your time. You can also build your own obverse and reverse legends in the database ... it is quite expandable.
Anyways ... I would be more than happy to test it for you... I have included two images of a provincial coin report from a coin I entered into Moneta as an example. (I just added a city to it to show the city vs mint feature)
And in the interest of full disclosure, I should note that we are resellers of Moneta ... but were users of Moneta long before we had the opportunity to sell it!
Let me know if you have questions, I would be happy to try and answer them for you.

I didn't know how to create a new .dat file, so I just edited the Sample one. Am I gonna have trouble doing that?
I only put in 3 entries, and deleted some samples, so I should be OK if I need to do something to create my own DAT file.

If I do need to retype or cut and paste the whole thing, then how do I get rid of all the old back-ups I created?
Well, any help any user can supply me with will be greatly appreciated!
Thanx in advance...

It's even more useful for Greek and other coins, because you can use any font that is loaded on your computer. I use Aramaic, Hebrew, Greek and a couple Asian Fonts also.
It's been quite a while since the last update. Is there any plans to finish the final release or update the program? I'd love to see the development of this particular program in the future, and think it could be marketed to rival Moneta and others. Other than the attribution and reference material found in Moneta, there is nothing that this program can't handle.
