Gela didrachm (Rev)

Gela, AR Didrachm, 19mm, circa 485 B.C., 8.52g. Forepart of man-headed bull to right. Jenkins 28 (dies).
As per EJW, 'This is perhaps the best set of dies in the series and arguably the best early archaic style for the bull'.
Lovely style. EF

The reverse is outstanding and I can't think of any words that could possibly do this coin justice.

Thanks guys. This coin has style, detail, and toning. I couldn't resist. You can even see veins on the underbelly of the horse.

Thanks, Paul. That's high praise. Well, I'm no Hieron, but I try to follow in his footsteps... with small steps...
