Nice snag Hieron! When I saw Robert add that to his store, I said to myself "gosh, that's a rather smart looking example". Seems appropriate to find it now in your collection!

Thanks, Zach. It immediately caught my eye as I was browsing through recent additions to Vcoins. I figured the sharp eyes and connoisseur tastes of this crowd would lead someone to grab it fast, so I barely hesitated. It's not perfick, but it has nice eye appeal and seems especially well struck for an obol. I've wanted a good boar coin for a long time, since I worked on my Dad's hog farm as a preteen and teenager. -h

Very nice example. I had bid on the piece in the mentioned LHS sale, but didn't bid strongly enough. This one certainly has just as nice detail and on a bit bigger flan.
Congratulations!

I knew if you saw it, Mike, I'd be toast. I'm not surprised to learn you bid on that nice LHS example. -c

Very nice coin and I'm glad it went to a good home. More to come from my (former) collection at Robert's venue.

Thanks for letting me have this one Darcy. You have excellent taste. Do you have any additional information about its provenance? -h

Ahem...

There's a very nice full-body boar (Pamphylia stater) in Gemini.
