Thanks, Mark. The coins make for an interesting comparison. The Tarsos has lustrous surfaces and very high relief. The Lampsakos has a broader flan, and nearly flawless surfaces. The styles are very different as well.

I am enjoying branching out into greek. The coins can be so artistic and attractive. I'm happy to join you guys with some of my own greek coins.

All I can tell you, Alex, is that the coin was attributed by Antiqua as being from Tarsos. Since Steve Rubinger knows a lot more about it than I do, I assumed he was correct.

Hi Jim - Sold my Price so I am at a disadvantage! Tarsos sure was a productive mint though this style, with Griffin, seems more Eastern. Alex
