SICILY, Akragas. Circa 465/4-446 BC. AR Didrachm (8.45 g, 12h). AKRAC-ANTOS (partially retrograde), sea eagle standing left on dotted line / Crab within shallow incuse circle. Cf. Lee Group I; cf. SNG ANS 976-980 (tetradrachms); SNG Lloyd 799 var. (same obv. die, symbol on rev.); Dewing 556. Superb EF. Exceptionally sharp details. Extremely rare denomination for period.

Withdrawn by CNG as high-end fake.
