Attribution help
hi,
Can you help with attribution of this greek coin please? The coin is an AE3, 18mm. Coin was found in Lemnos island, Greece, that is Lesbos, so could be an Asia Minor coin. tx I think the type of coin is: A VARIATION OF SEAR NUMBER 1737 OR 1739, 280-190 B.C., HEFPHAISTIA (chief town of Lemnos), AE18, OBVERSE: DIAD.MALE HEAD RIGHT, BEARDLESS(ANTIOCHOS III OF SYRIA?)/ REVERSE: ΗΦΑΙ/ΣΤΙ. RAM STANDING RIGHT, B.M.C.3.5.. Last edited by zeuscoins : Oct 1, 2011 at 12:25 PM. |
