Greetings - first post

Hello all,

The administrator tells me my account has been activated, so I'll give it a try.

I have collected ancient coins since I bought my first, a late Roman bronze, at Gimbels Department Store in the 1960s. I'm still interested in just about all aspects of the science of numismatics.

Welcome! I remember the gimbles counter and used to visit it at least once a month with my allowance savings. (Talking about the late 70's in my case)

Although, I dont remember seeing any ancients... I used to go and select one US coin and dream of the days I could afford the more expensive coins.
