Hosted sites query

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help.

I run the Diadumenian site here but unfortunately my PC crashed and I lost all my login details. I've tried emailing the various addresses here and also the support and sales email addresses at Vcoins. It's not that nobody can help but that nobody has actually responded. Has something happened that I'm unaware of? Is there actually anyone in a position to help anymore? If not I will have to look elsewhere for a host - but unfortunately as no-one is responding I can't even take my domain name with me.

It's really very frustrating.

thanks

Unfortunately, it's been over 4 weeks now since I've started trying to find someone.

Worst case you could choose a new domain name and host and ask everyone linking to the old site to link to the new one instead - the change would soon be reflected in Google/etc rankings.

If you no longer want the content hosted at the current domain (due to having no control over it), but retain copyright to the content, then you may also be able submit a DMCA takedown notice to the current host's ISP.

Hi,

Thanks for those tips.

I might just do that - though it does seem strange that there is no-one looking after the sites. I think I'm right in saying that someone, somewhere is paying a little for bandwith for hosting them - so presumably someone at least knows about them.

I understand they are now "run" by vcoins - or vcoins administrators - I'll try them again for a little longer to see if anything appears.

thanks again
