Would it be possible to have something like craigslist for collectors to sell coins? Maybe you could limit it to something like 5 coins for sale at one time. I know there are probably many collectors that have a few they would like to sell, but don't want to have to pay ebay fees, or fees for a different site. The transaction could be completed with the seller with no need for an admin to get involved. Limiting the number of coins you can offer at a time would make it for collectors, not dealers. I personally have a few coins that have no place in my collection. I don't mind keeping them, but if I could sell them I probably would. However I don't have very many, so paying to sell on a site like Tantalus is hardly worth it.
I understand if you want to keep it a non-selling site. Just an idea.

Forvm Ancient Coins (forumancientcoins.com), just like V Coins here, hosts a discussion site (and much, much more). The focus is much broader than Ancients.info, and there are many more contributors, ages 12 to 80, of all levels of expertise, from rank beginner to well-recognized authorities. Many of the same people as here, of course. If you are looking for a collecting area for specialization, that is the place to get a look at many of them. They also sell coins, and the have ways for collectors to sell theirs! Cheers, George Spradling

There's an auction part where active forum members can sell coins in auctions or at fixed prices. It's much preferable to Ebay in my opinion but it's not really for someone who doesn't contribute to the forum to just sell a few coins. A big part of the appeal is that you know the person you're buying from or selling to. Of course that hurdle is easily taken by contributing to the forum.
