Both articles say that the discovery of the coins "sheds light" on Carausius. How is that? Yes, his aurei are very rare, and the first one aparently unique, but in what way do they suggest anything new about the emperor?

The farmer should have held out on submitting the coin until the Brits can figure out if they are going to continue to fund what, heretofore, has been an extremely valuable cooperative effort between private and public interests.
