hello,

This is a coin from philippi, the obverse show a legend AVG but the portrait style seems to be a Tiberius or Caligula (Gaius) portrait.

With photos, I post a link from CNG about an Caligula attribution.

How do you rate it?

Thanks

Your photo of this Julio Claudian I believe is Tiberius (has the physiognomy and hairstyle of Tiberius), Phillippi has some wonderful JC portrait examples.

Your Caligulan example I quoted as Caligula when it was listed unknown. The Caligula example has quite a pediagree, I believe it was with Wildwind and CNG twice.

You have a beautiful coin!!
